The drama Mere Ban Jao explores the effects of revenge porn on women, drawing on several real-life cases. Azmia (Kinza Hashmi), the main character, is engaged to her cousin Fardeen (Azfar Rehman). Hashmi, who plays Azmia, believes that in the current digital era, the use of personal photos and videos for exploitation and blackmail is a topic that is pertinent. Speaking with Images earlier this summer, the actor revealed that she researched revenge porn cases online in order to get ready for Azmia's role.
